House Blend is the dream come to fruition of Jeremy and Holly Spencer. It is the combination of needing a job, loving coffee, and pursuing a dream.

We decided in October of 2001 that we wanted to open a coffeehouse, we just had to figure out how and where. We started doing research and the ball just kept rolling. We knew that we wanted to be around the Nashville area, but it just seemed too scary to start a new business in Nashville where the rent is higher and there are already successful coffeehouse cafes. It was decided that we would move back to Jeremy's hometown and start growing our business there. We found the perfect location in Downtown Dickson; it was right in the heart of the street and there were plans to make an outdoor seating area that would hopefully attract peoples eye and interests.

We opened our doors on February 23, 2002, only four months after the original thought. The community opened their arms to us at once and seemed to be ready for a real coffeehouse in the smaller town of Dickson. From what our customers told us, there were a number of people driving to Nashville to get their coffee fix and House Blend provided a welcome change.

Along with being a full-service coffeehouse we also opened our store as a cafe and retail store. We offer a wide variety of unique taste in the form of sandwiches, salads, and soups. We also have an ever-changing eclectic mix of gifts. In addition to our cafe fare, we offer an extensive catering menu for a variety of events and gatherings, including an on-site espresso bar, perfect for weddings and parties.
